Sympathy: Tallow GAA club extends
its sympathy to Marianne Sheehan (Nee Doyle) and family on the recent passing
of her husband John Jo Sheehan. John Joe
was a former All Ireland winning Minor and Senior with Kerry. Our sympathy also to John Joe’s brother in
law Tom Doyle and sisters in Law Kitty McDonnell and Louise Hanrahan
Ballincourty. Both families have a long
and proud association with the GAA. May

Tar Isteach: the field is re-opening this Wednesday June 24th. We are sure it will be a hive of activity.
Tallow G.A.A. Lotto: The lotto will be resuming from Monday June 29th. Tickets available from shops and usual
promoters.
Pieta House: Representatives from Pieta House will be
visiting Tallow GAA Club grounds on Tuesday July 1st at 7.30pm. While observing social distancing a cheque
presentation will be made of monies raised from our twenty hour run, walk and
cycle. All are welcome to attend.

What is your favorite position in hurling and football?
D.B. Any where in the full forward line
What is your pregame meal?
D.B. Chicken and Pasta
What is your favorite food and drink?
D.B. Steak, potatoes, and cider!
What is your favorite ground in the county?
D.B. Fraher field all the way
What size hurley do you use, and would you bring many to a game?
D.B. I use size 33 and I’d bring 2/3 to any match
Have you watched any of the old games on TG4 or RTE shown over the last
few weeks and if you have what did you think of them?
D.B. I watched the 2004 Munster final, I thought it was very free and
fast flowing and the 2010 All Ireland final when Tipp, beat Kilkenny, it was
unbelievable stuff.
The funniest thing you saw in a game you played?
D.B. When Mark hit Joe Delaney in the face
If you could replay any game you played in over the years, which one
would you choose?
D.B. The Minor hurling replay in the county final. It was really one we left behind us.
Who or what are the greatest
influence or influences on your hurling career?
D.B. I’ll have to say Niall Moore, he was with us from a young age and
really brought out the best in us.
Any superstitions?
D.B. I always prefer to drive myself to a match, it allows me to keep
my mind off the match

D.B. Depends on the weather, but mostly moulded

D.B. I actually couldn’t answer that, I feel like it’s years ago
Best Tallow game you attended and played in?
D.B. The best game I attended was the Tallow vs Lismore in 2011 and
the best game I played in was Tallow vs Ballygunner in 2019
When lock down is over the first thing you will do?
D.B. Go training or go to Lukies!! Whichever comes first
What is the fastest game you played?
D.B. The 2019 game against
Ballygunner. No one had a chance to
catch their breath. Everyone put
everything they had into the game.
Have you used many helmets
throughout your 21 years and your favourite make?
D.B. I’d say I went through about 3 or 4. I have a new one at the moment but I’m a bit
iffy about changing. Favourite make is
Mycro.
What is your favourite brand of sliothar in the wet and dry weather?
D.B. An all-star. They seem to
hold their shape and do not go spongy
The best atmosphere in a game you were involved in.
D.B. The minor county final 2015.
The atmosphere that day was unbelievable for a minor game.
If you could buy one player for your team, who would you buy?
D.B. This isn’t the premier league, we’ll stick to who we have.
You were a hurley carrier in the 2015 county final. How did you find that experience?
D.B. I suppose I was looking on
and wishing I had the opportunity to play in it
